Now this is real music, not liek the music we hear on the radio now a days.
Powerful, awesome, words can’t describe. Beautiful song, Beautiful woman, just Beautiful
ahh DELLA DELLA DELLA I LOVE ALL YOUR MUSICI LOVE YOU GOD BLESS
Back when if you went to a concert (use hers as an example) it sounded like the record..Not these auto tuned sons a bitches that have things handed to them..
I love it!
LOVE YOU GRANDMA DELLA!
This is DEFINITELY live. There are a couple of different uploads of the original recording available here on YouTube with which you might compare this performance. The backing vocalists are different, her phrasing is different, more tempo variations, etc. The backing vocalists in this performance inlcude male voices not present in the recording, so I’m not sure why you cited that.
This is powerful and astounding. Not just the uber-skilled vocal, but even the arrangement supports her, as if rehearsed for years. It’s flawless.
I love you Della, you were beautiful then & you are beautiful now. There’s no one like you.
OMG Della Reese was sexy young woman! she’s still beautiful but WOW what a looker back then!
I don’t think technically live, this version is exactly the same as on her recording of this song, down to the background singers softly singing Miss You So at the end. However, it still is wonderful to see her performing (even if it is lip syncing which was and is common practice on TV). No one compares to Miss Della!
Well. for those who dig harmony: there are billions of paths within ANY given melody (who IMHO heads the hierarchy in Music). Ask Bach…
I’d say the changes, I meant the changes…
Isn’t it exactly “WitchcrafT???”
I interviewed her when her book came out about 10 years ago. She is one of the most interesting and sweetest ladies I ever met. Dennis
love the real stuff so rare thanks for post
Wonderful diction, wonderful song, wonderful Della!!!
